This delegation is the counterpart to the German-Swiss parliamentary group of the Bundestag (Deutsch-Schweizerische Parlamentariergruppe). Its aim is to maintain close relations with our neighbour as well as to establish and maintain a network of contacts that can be activated namely if a crisis arises. It also intends to encourage dialogue between members of parliament and to help to ensure a better understanding of the respective parliamentary procedures. It is planned that the two delegations will meet regularly.
